The Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Orientation Programme (FPGOP) which operates under the auspices of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), is a programme established for foreign pharmacy graduates in partial fulfilment of the requirements for registration as a Pharmacist in Nigeria as approved in Section I (i) a II and 12 of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria Act No. 91 of 1992.

Requirements for participation in the programme include -

i.    Properly completed application form (which is attached to the FPGOP manual)

ii.    School Transcripts (with translation where applicable, stamped, signed and sealed by school authority)

iii.    Degree Certificate (certified true copy)

iv.    Two coloured passport sized Photographs

v.    Birth Certificate (certified true copy)

vi.    Evidence of completion of internship in the country of training (if any)

vii.    Registration Certificate in the Country of study (if any, certified true copy of the certificate by the licencing body)

viii.    Current licence to practice (if any, certified true copy by the licencing body)

ix.    Any other Certificate relating to Pharmacy

x.    FPGOP fee of Eight Hundred Dollars or its Naira equivalent

xi.    Evidence of change of name (if applicable)

It is pertinent to note that a "Foreign Pharmacy Graduate" is a Nigerian Pharmacist whose undergraduate Pharmacy Degree was conferred by a recognized School of Pharmacy outside Nigeria.

This year's FPGOP will be held between August and September 2011 (5 weeks) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.
